The Department provides a full range of services, including emergency medical care, fire – suppression, all-hazards response as well as proactive code enforcement, fire prevention education, and emergency management to the community.
Fire Prevention and Inspections:

Burn Permits:
Open Burning Season has closed for year. Agricultural entities may use the burn permit system to obtain an agricultural permit if appropriate. Please contact fire prevention for more information.
Emergency Medical Services:
Ashby Fire and EMS provides emergency medical transport services 24 hours a day 7 days a week at the Basic Life Support Level. The department’s dedicated team of full time Firefighter EMTs, per-diem and on-call personel work collaboratively to provides EMS services to the community.
Fire Suppression and All Hazards Response:
The Department provides comprehensive fire and all hazards response to the community utilizing our combination staffing model that relies heavily on dedicated on-call personnel that respond from home but also integrates a limited number of career staff and a full time fire chief to expedite response times. The Department also partners with numerous other mutual aid partners including our surrounding communities, Fire District 8, Fire District 6 and the Department of Fire Services to provide emergency response to the community.
